Overview

This event is for new providers who are offering apprenticeship provision and want to further their understanding about quality assurance and quality improvement and what the Ofsted Inspection Handbook says about newly funded provider monitoring visits. We will also examine some of the key challenges for new providers. It is not about the mechanics of how to apply to be an apprenticeship training provider or funding but about quality. Questions to ask yourself:
  • Can you explain the rationale for your provision?
  • Can you explain effective governance?
  • Have you thought about QA processes?
  • Can you evidence impact on apprentices?
If you are struggling with answering those questions, then this event is for you where you will hear from an HMI or SHMI from Ofsted who will be able to share their learning from recent monitoring visits and inspections as well as exploring what good quality apprenticeship provision looks like.

By the end of the event you will have:
  • Explored the features of good quality provision
  • Reviewed your quality assurance and quality improvement processes
  • Considered your own actions from your learning on the day
