Ready, Set, Go: How to
win the ESIF race

ESIF is here
With £4 billion of funding available, ESIF funding has the potential to make a huge difference to disadvantaged learners and the organisations who support them. But with minimum lot values of £500,0000, for any proposal to be successful it will need to have reach, depth and scope - in other words, it will need to involve a consortium of delivery organisations, and lead providers will need local partners.

ESIF is now here: it has arrived later than planned, and is now coming through all at once, with many calls being released across the country.
  • Big Lottery Fund wave 1 is already released with wave 2 released later in October – expected total spend 2016-19 c. £250M
  • DWP is expected to release the 1st of 3 calls in October with further calls before the end of the financial year - expected total spend 2016-19 c.£500M
  • SFA will release wave 1 calls for NEET early October with more waves throughout the rest of 2015 – expected total spend 2016-19 c.£5-800M
  • Operational Plan now approved meaning ESIF Spending on employment, skills and social inclusion for England at over €3.3Bn for period 2015-2023 before matched funding
We Can Help

In response to requests from our constituencies of small training providers and VCS organisations, the Association of Employment & Learning Providers and the Campaign for Learning are running a support programme to help the ‘market’ work better, launched at the AELP conference on 22nd June.

The support programme comprises of:

Partner Matching Database:
  • A searchable database to help both larger, potential lead providers build their supply chains and smaller, often local, providers get noticed.
  • AELP and the Campaign for Learning have over 15000 organisations of all shapes and sizes with which we work and this programme can benefit all of them
  • Registration is a simple Expression of Interest Form
  • All organisations can then receive a downloadable copy of the database in excel format to help them with their partnership working and programme building

ESIF Briefing and LEP Analysis

  • Briefings on what ESIF is and how your organisation can benefit
