Nebula
A Cloud Computing Training Programme for the Public Sector

AELP has been working in partnership with specialists from seven other European countries on a new IT project. This event gives you the opportunity to find out more about how you can benefit from what this exciting new programme has developed.

This innovative programme utilises the latest techniques in training and assessment including the use of gaming. In addition to the online 60 hour course, the project has developed train the trainer materials for use by trainers working for local authorities and other public bodies.

The strategic partnership worked together and did extensive research into the skills and competences required by public sector employees who are responsible for managing the migration from traditional IT systems onto cloud based services. The partners also looked at the existing vocational education and training (VET) provision that is available to meet those needs.

Based on their findings, the team developed a VET programme that addresses the areas that were not well covered by current provision. As well as developing technical skills the new NEBULA training programme focuses on enhancing skills in business change management, communication, analysis and negotiation, all vital skills when planning and implementing the transition to cloud services.
